Basic costs

Tours of Mainland Britain:
Unlike traditional holidays our costs are charged by the day and for the vehicle/driver irrespective of how many passengers there are inside. Thus the cost for seven days will be the same irrespective of whether the booking is for two, three or even four people. The only difference is where accommodation is included and here there is a small supplement should there be more than two of you.

The basic charge for a tour is £160 per day.

This price includes:
All transport and transfers as agreed, including fuel;
Unlimited mileage*;
The services of a dedicated driver/guide;

This price does NOT include:
Flights (if booking from outside the UK);
Entrance to attractions;
Meals and accommodation;
In addition you will be responsible for the costs of your driver/guide's accommodation. Alternatively you may pay a daily rate of £230 but your driver/guide will make his own arrangements for accommodation. Scenic Travel can assist with booking accommodation and make recommendations however all accommodation must be paid for directly between you and the provider.

Tours of Wales:
If touring South Wales the basic price is the same as for mainland Britain however in North Wales/Snowdonia we can offer our own cottage accommodation as part of the package.
The basic price for the Snowdonia package with is £175 per day for up to two people. A small supplement of £10 per person per night is charged for a third and fourth person.

This price includes:
All transport and transfers as agreed, including fuel;
Unlimited mileage*;
The services of a dedicated driver/guide;
Cottage accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis.

Not included in the basic price
Flights(if booking from outside the UK);
Entrance to attractions;
Meals other than breakfast at the cottage.
We strongly recommend you take out standard travel/cancellation insurance.

Excursions From Bath:
Excursions from Bath are charged per person, depending how many passengers are in the vehicle and based on the mileage:

Full Day Tours:

Basic Price:
Two passengers: £65 per person
Three passengers: £45 per person
Four passengers: £32.50 per person
Five or six passengers: £30 per person

Half Day Excursions:
Charged at 60% of the full day rate.

Price Includes:
All transport and use of the car as agreed, including fuel;
Agreed mileage;
The services of a dedicated driver/guide;

Price Does Not Include:
Entrance to attractions.
Destinations involving greater than normal mileage or longer days will incur an additional charge. All prices will be confirmed at the time of booking. Scenic Travel reserves the right to alter the daily rate should any itinerary proposed by a client involve excessive mileage. This will be at the direction of Scenic Travel and will be agreed at the time of booking.
Scenic Travel can take no responsibility for delays or changes of itinerary caused by traffic, weather, breakdown or other circumstances beyond their control.
*unlimited mileage is subject to a maximum of seven hours driving in any one day, excluding rest periods and subject to agreed route itinerary.

Click on contact us and send us an email with some basic details of what you would like. We will reply quickly and begin to advise you as to how your holiday with us might work. Because there is no 'package', no two holidays with Scenic Travel are ever the same, hence the final shape of your break will be the result of a number of conversations with us. If you would like to speak directly rather than by email please enclose a telephone number and we will contact you. (Please ensure that any time differences are made clear to ensure we do not wake you in the middle of the night!). After all necessary discussion we will offer you a Quotation for our services during your holiday. Your acceptance of this Quotation will constitute the contract between us.

A deposit of £100 will be requested at the time of booking. In the event of cancellation this deposit is non-refundable. 50% of the remainder must be paid not less than 28 days prior to commencement of the holiday. The balance will be due at the end of the holiday. Payment for Days Out from Bath must be made before departure.
